DISCLAIMER It is now generally accepted that the genders sit on a scale more than they do opposite poles. Terms like ‘masculine’ and ‘feminine’ (from which the title of this page is derived) can be stigmatic and are becoming increasingly problematic to use. That being said, I wanted cross-dressing to be included, and C was already taken by Chaps. For the sake of speed and a limited alphabet, this is ‘Femme.’ (Please don’t write me)
As a site primarily for the gay man, in this blog we’re looking mainly at feminine-orientated clothing, worn by biological males. We are also not talking about Drag here. Drag would arguably be considered a performance art, not a particular type of Fetishwear.
The items you might include on this list for Femme apparel would be high heeled shoes, tight, stockings, garters, corsets, and long gloves, etc. Materials would be lace, satin, shiffon, silk.
The biggest barrier to entry for a lot of men is that femmine clothing is made for female shapes. Getting clothes to fit can be difficult. If you’re prepared to wait, places like Wish and AliExpress can be good (and cheap) places to start.
If you’re interested in the community, but don’t know where to start, a good first step is to find champions of the aesthetic online and learn from them (see the images at the top of the page for two excellent examples).
As with all Fetishwear, there are no rules about what you can or cannot wear. If you like that thing, wear that thing. If they over there don’t like it, tell them to fuck off.
My ‘True Stories’ mini doc for @Channel4 has gone live on their Facebook page. #LoveInLockdown: CyberSex 3-5 times a week. Here: https://t.co/gMq7ZvMu8U P. s. Don’t read the comments! 🤮 pic.twitter.com/dP6HZImDCy — Topher Taylor (@helloiamtopher) May 2, 2020
